一、导师简历

        个人简介

1997 - 2002: 美国佛罗里达大西洋大学 [Florida Atlantic University FAU] 物理系凝聚态与材料物理专业博士研究生 ,获理学博士学位 (五年),博士导师为 John J. Neumeier教授。

2002 - 2008: 美国洛杉矶加州大学 [University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)] 物理与天文系博士后(六年),博士后导师为 William G. Clark教授(国际著名固体核磁共振专家)。

2008 - 2013: 美国西佛罗里达大学 [University of West Florida (UWF)] 物理系助理教授 Assistant Professor)(五年)。

2013 - 2014年:美国洛杉矶加州大学(UCLA) 物理与天文系访问教授 (Visiting ProfessorClarklab)。

2015 -至今:从美国回扬州大学物理与科学技术学院工作。

        在美国从一名普通的博士生至在美国大学当教授学习与工作长达18年的时间里,深深得益于Neumeier Clark 两位教授的精心指导,并因此熟练掌握固体核磁共振(NMR)、高压强、强磁场、极低温、晶体生长、X-射线、中子散射、PPMSSQUID、量子级热涨仪等十多项国际前沿高科实验技术的应用及部分核心技术和关键设备的设计与开发。多次应约在美国国家强磁实验室(NHMFL)、美国阿贡国家中子散射实验室(ANL)、美国爱斯国家实验室(Ames National Laboratory)等美国国家级实验室进行实验测量,及多次在美国洛杉矶加州大学 UCLA)、佛罗里达州立大学(FSU)、迈阿密大学(Uni. of Miami)等交流访问,并与相关研究团队长期保持良好研究合作。作为导师的博士生/博士后等,先后参与完成了其主持的共五项美国国家自然科学基金(NSF)项目。在美国西佛罗里达大学 (UWF) 担任Assistant Professor 期间, 多次获得学校学术创新奖(SCA Award)和优秀指导导师奖等。  

        已在国际学术权威杂志  (Nature) Scientific Reports, Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B, J. Physics: Condensed MatterJ.  Solid State Chemistry, J. Applied Physics 等发表学术论文20篇。出有专著一部Structural, electrical and magnetic properties of transition metal nickel oxides和文献收录书籍Superconductors-Materials, Properties and Applications》;在美国物理学会(APS)年度会议所作的学术报告和其它被邀请学术报告共40余场。担任多种国际学术权威杂志的审稿人,如Physical Review letters, Review of Modern Physics, Physical Review B, Physical Review X, Physical Review A, Physical Review C, Physical Review D, Physical Review E, Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 等。

二、研究领域

  1、研究方向

  凝聚态与材料物理专业。横跨材料学、物理学和化学。研究方向主要是先进材料(新颖低维度电子材料,如超导材料、电池材料、功能材料、磁性材料等)的生长, 材料的物性测量 (使用X-ray, neutron scattering, PPMS, SQUID, quantum dilatometry 等)、材料的物性调控与核磁共振研究,和与之相关的高压强、低温、强磁场等极端环境高科技术的应用与开发等。重点在新颖低维度强关联先进固体材料的物性调控与核磁共振研究。

2、研究内容

1)采用PLD (pulsed laser deposition) temperature gradient flux vapor transportsolid state synthesis等实验技术(按需要选择),生长实验用高质量的单晶、多晶或薄膜材料。

2)利用X-ray neutron scattering 对所生长出的材料的结构和成分进行分析,以保障生长出高纯度的合格材料。

3)利用PPMS, SQUID等对合格材料的基本电性(电阻、磁阻)、磁性(磁化率)和热性能(比热)进行测量。

4)进行核磁共振(NMR) 实验研究(重点之一)。在原子尺度上(atomic scale)直接观察导电电子的电荷、自旋的静态和动态行为。比如, 可以对超导材料的电子配对方式,低维度强关联电子材料可能会显现的CDW (charge-density wave) SDWspin-density wave)、及超导、金属-非金属、磁性等各类相变现象的发生等,提供直接的原子尺度上的证据与观测, 并有能力可以进行各种相变类型的判别。进而揭示出其各自发生的可能机制,并可直接验证理论工作者提出的各种有价值的物理学理论的有效性与否(若有必要验证), 如超导理论、Luttinger liquid 理论等。

   5)进行物性调控实验(重点之二) 众所周知,材料的物性大都由电子的行为决定,而电子的行为是可以调控的。调控电子的方式很多。除采用可改变基本的化学元素或摻杂元素量的多少外,这里主要是采用高压强、极低温、强磁场等极端环境技术,并可综合以上提到的一些实验技术(高端应用)。此项实验除可揭示出材料的调控机理外,还会揭示电子的量子基态,会有新的重要发现。根据需要,可以随时和国内或国际的相关研究团体合作共同进行一些需要的实验测量。
