报告人简介:

  周苑 ,南京大学教授。主要研究领域为非常规超导,强关联电子系统和拓扑绝缘体等方向,相关研究发表在Physical Review系列,Nano Letters, New Journal of Physics等物理学主流期刊上,担任Physical Review系列、New Journal of Physics2D Materials等学术期刊的审稿人。

 

报告摘要:

Magnetism in graphene and graphene nanostructures attracts much attension due to their promising applications in future spintronics and magnetic devices. High-density, room-temperature realizable, and efficiently controllable magnetism in graphene are high desired. In this talk, I will give some examples for manipulating the magnetism in graphene nanostructures, including ribbon width, carrier density, potential drop, and geometrical structure. I will also discuss ways to generatetrong ferromagnetism in nitrogen-doped and fluorinated graphene.
